Donald Ray Frisby, 60, of Mercersburg, PA died August 29, 2020 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Born June 21, 1960, in Chambersburg, PA, he was a son of Connie (Burke) Frisby Riley and the late Donald R. Frisby.
Donnie Ray was a 1978 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg. He worked on area farms as a teenager. He had been employed at Landis Tool, Waynesboro, PA and Mack Trucks, Hagerstown, MD. He was last employed for 38 years at D. L. Martin Company, Mercersburg.
He enjoyed hunting, butchering, and his grandkids. He shot pool in Legion Post 517's pool league and played softball for their team as well as a team for Curfman's Chiropractic.
Don was a member of the following American Legions; Mercersburg Post 517, St. Thomas Post 612, Ft. Loudon Post 606, and Mercersburg Moose Lodge 1790.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley M. (Starliper) Frisby, whom he married April 19, 1996. Daughter, Dawn R. Frisby and son, Nathan A. Frisby both of Mercersburg, five grandchildren, Keyonna Frisby, KaMya Epps, Ja'Nya Frisby, Isaiah Demory, and Alyca Frisby, siblings, Gregory & wife Kym Frisby, Hedgesvbille, WV and Tina Lininger, McConnellsburg, PA. Don was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Frisby, who died in 1991.
Graveside memorial service at Zion Union Cemetery, Mercersburg, will be held at 2:00 PM September 9, 2020, with Pastor Vera Keith officiating.
Visitation at the gravesite one hour prior to the service. Masks are suggested.
Arrangements by Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg.

Donald you were a awesome person and you went to soon. You will always be remembered when we had great times when we were little kids. You had the awesome smile that I will nexer forget and pleasure be be my cousin as well. You will be missed......RIP

What a great guy. We will miss seeing him at the Mercersburg Moose and/or Legion. He had a heart of gold. Much respect and saddened by the loss.
