Obituary

Harold Miller Hoffeditz, 76, of Mercersburg, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 20, 2019.

Born January 11, 1943 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Blanche Miller Hoffeditz.
Harold graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1960 and married Esther V. Zullinger on February 20, 1965. Harold was a dairy farmer who owned and operated the family Century Farm in Mercersburg. Esther and Harold raised four children together, Holly, Cindy, Heather, and Herbert. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Harold attended Two Top Fellowship Church and was a member of various agriculture associations.

Surviving family include his wife of 54 years, Esther V. Hoffeditz, and children, Holly Murphy of Greencastle, Cindy and husband Thomas Kriner of Mercersburg, Heather and husband Chad Rosenberry of Chambersburg, Herb and wife Pam Hoffeditz of Broadway, VA. Harold is survived by 9 grandchildren, Kaylee, Gretta, and Claire; Dana, Janelle, Carmen and Darren; and Hershel and Carina.

Harold is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Lewis Harold Murphy.

A visitation will be held 5-8 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg PA. A funeral service will be 11 AM on Friday, December 27, at Two Top Fellowship Church with Pastor Paul Martin officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery, Mercersburg PA. There will be a reception following the service at former Lemasters Community Center, Brethren Meeting House 4919 Steele Avenue, Lemasters, PA 17231.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Two Top Fellowship Church, or Christian Farmers Outreach in honor of Harold Hoffeditz.
