Helen M. “Hud” Guyer, 78, Mercersburg, PA died December 16, 2020 at her home.
Born June 12, 1942 in Chambersburg, PA she was a daughter of the late Chester and Frances (Fritz) Bricker.
Helen was a former employee of the former Mercersburg Tannery and Widman's Store, Mercersburg. Helen was an in-home child care provider for many years and also assisted her husband in the operation of Lee's Lawn Care. She enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren.
Helen was a member of Charlestown United Methodist Church, Mercersburg.
She married Lee F. Guyer on June 11, 1960, and he died on September 1, 2019.
Surviving are three children, Ginger M. Faith and companion Ryan Beeler, Mercersburg, Jerry L. (Angela) Guyer, Fort Loudon, PA and Barry L. Guyer and companion Kelly Buterbaugh, Mercersburg. Seven grandchildren, Brandi, Dusty, Justin, Kennedy, Kelsey, Bobby, and Heather. Six great grandchildren, Raelyn, Remedy, Dylan, Jacob, Jasper, and Lily. Three siblings, Nellie (Ray) Breakall and Clyde (Carolyn) Bricker both of Mercersburg, and Kay (Bill) Guyer, Fort Loudon. Helen was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Guyer,
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM December 22, 2020, at Spring Grove Cemetery, Lemasters, PA with Pastor W. David Kent officiating.
